RESUMEN

Genome-wide association study identified common variants within the ALDH1A2 gene as the susceptible loci of hand osteoarthritis (HOA) in UK and Iceland populations. Located in chromosome 15, ALDH1A2 encodes aldehyde dehydrogenase family 1 member A2, which is an enzyme that catalyses the synthesis of retinoic acid from retinaldehyde. Our purposes were to replicate the association of functional variant in ALDH1A2 with the development of HOA in the Chinese population. Variant rs12915901 of ALDH1A2 was genotyped in 872 HOA patients and 1223 healthy controls. Subchondral bone samples were collected from 40 patients who had undergone a trapeziectomy, and the tissue expression of ALDH1A2 was analysed. The chi-square analysis was used to compare the frequency of genotype and risk allele between the HOA cases and controls. The Student t test was used to compare the mRNA expression of ALDH1A2 between patients with genotype AA/AG and those with genotype GG. The frequency of genotype AA was significantly higher in HOA patients than in the controls (7.6% vs. 5.1%, p = .01). The frequency of allele A was significantly higher in the patients than in the controls (28.9% vs. 24.6%, p = .005). The mRNA expression of ALDH1A2 was 1.31-folds higher in patients with genotype GG than in the patients with genotype AA/AG (0.000617 ± 0.000231 vs. 0.000471 ± 0.000198, p = .04). Variant rs12915901 of ALDH1A2 contributed to the susceptibility of HOA in the Chinese population. Allele A of rs12915901 can add to the risk of HOA possibly via down-regulation of ALDH1A2 expression.

BACKGROUND: Genetic polymorphism of KIAA1217 has been reported to be associated with lumbar disc herniation (LDH) in different populations such as Japanese population and Finnish population. This study aimed to explore whether the genetic polymorphism of KIAA1217 is functionally associated with LDH in Chinese population. METHODS: SNP rs16924573 of KIAA1217 was genotyped in 1272 patients and 1248 healthy controls. The mRNA expression of KIAA1217 in the intervertebral disc was analyzed for 84 patients and 32 controls. The differences of genotype and allele distributions between LDH patients and healthy controls were evaluated using the Chi-square test. One-way ANOVA test was used to compare the relationship between genotypes and tissue expression of KIAA1217. RESULTS: Patients were found to have significantly higher frequency of genotype GG of rs16924573 than the controls (64.2% vs. 52.8%, p<0.001). The frequency of allele G was remarkably higher in the patients than in the controls (79.8% vs. 73.2%, p<0.001), with an OR of 1.45 (95% confidential interval=1.27-1.66). Compared with the controls, LDH patients were observed to have significantly decreased expression of KIAA1217. Patients with genotype GG had remarkably lower mRNA expression of KIAA1217 than those with genotype AG or AA (p=0.01). CONCLUSIONS: SNP rs16924573 of KIAA1217 could be functionally associated with LDH in the Chinese population. More in vivo and vitro experiments need to be carried out to further clarify the regulatory mechanism of functional variants in KIAA1217.

The frequency of allele A was remarkably lower in the patients than in the controls (86.3% vs. 90.5%, p < 0.001), with an odds ratio of 0.66 (95% CI = 0.54-0.80). Luciferase Reporter Assay showed that the construct containing mutant allele G of rs11588850 displayed 29.1% higher enhancer activity than the wild allele A construct (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Allele G of rs11588850 was associated with the increased risk of TOA possibly via up-regulation of WNT9A expression. Further functional analysis into the regulatory role of rs11588850 in WNT9A expression can shed new light on the genetic architecture of TOA.

This article studies the generalized efficient robust predictive control (GERPC) for the nonlinear systems denoted by interval type-2 (IT2) Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model over networks with consideration of packet dropout, bounded disturbance and adaptive event-triggered scheme (AETS). First, the packet dropout is described by a Bernoulli process, and an AETS with thresholds that can be self-regulated according to different situations is employed to decide whether to release data into the communication network, so as to reduce the data transmission frequency and the network burden; Second, taking into consideration of packet dropout and AETS, a unified IT2 T-S fuzzy control model based on GERPC is established, and the stability of closed-loop system with bounded disturbance is guaranteed by quadratic boundedness (QB) technique; Third, generalized efficient robust predictive controller is designed to obtain a larger initial feasible region, smaller online computation and acceptable control performance. The unconstrained control law is designed offline, and a new variable will be optimized online to achieve good control performance, which is introduced to adjust the control quantity. Then, the convex LMI reformulation method is utilized to handle non-convex terms in optimization problem, and the effectiveness of the GERPC algorithm is proved by the matrix partition technique. At last, the effectiveness of the designed controller based on the GERPC strategy is verified by a given simulation experiment.

PURPOSE: To compare the merits and demerits of percutaneous robot-assisted screw fixation for nondisplaced pelvic fractures with other treatments via long-term follow-up. METHODS: This was a retrospective analysis of nondisplaced pelvic fractures treated between January 2015 and December 2021. The number of fluoroscopy exposures, operative duration, intraoperative blood loss, surgical complications, screw placement accuracy and Majeed score were compared among the nonoperative group (24 cases), open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) group (45 cases), free-hand empirical screw fixation (FH) group (10 cases) and robot-assisted screw fixation (RA) group (40 cases). RESULTS: There was less intraoperative blood loss in the RA and FH groups than in the ORIF group. The number of fluoroscopy exposures in the RA group was lower than that in the FH group but much higher than that in the ORIF group. There were five cases of wound infection in the ORIF group and no surgical complications in the FH or RA group. The medical expenses were higher in the RA group than in the FH group, with no significant difference from the ORIF group. The Majeed score was lowest in the nonoperative group three months after injury (64.5±12.0) but lowest in the ORIF group one year after injury (88.6±4.1). CONCLUSION: Percutaneous RA for nondisplaced pelvic fractures is effective and minimally invasive and does not increase medical expenses compared with ORIF. Therefore, it is the best choice for patients with nondisplaced pelvic fractures.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to assess the efficiency, safety, and accuracy of cannulated screw fixation using a robot-assisted method compared with a traditional percutaneous freehand method. METHODS: This retrospective clinical study included 18 patients with scaphoid fracture who underwent cannulated screw fixation by robot-assisted technique or traditional percutaneous freehand technique from June 2018 to June 2020. All patients were divided into the robot-assisted group (9 patients) or the traditional surgery group (9 patients). The operation time, blood loss, number of intra-operative fluoroscopies, fracture healing time, Mayo wrist function score, and screw implantation accuracy were recorded in the two groups. RESULTS: The average age of the robot-assisted group was 37.9 ± 10.6 years (with a range of 30 to 52 years), there were eight males and one female, and there were six cases of scaphoid fracture on the right side and three on the left side. The average pre-operative time was 2.8 ± 0.7 days (ranging from 1 to 3 days). The average age of the traditional surgery group was 31.6 ± 6.8 years (with a range of 20 to 45 years), there were eight males and one female, and there were five cases of scaphoid fracture on the right side and four on the left side. The average pre-operative time was 2.1 ± 0.8 days (with a range of 2 to 4 days). The number of intra-operative fluoroscopies was 24.4 ± 3.5 in the traditional surgery group, whereas it was only 10.1 ± 1.9 in the robot-assisted group, which was significantly lower (P < 0.05). The average operation time of the traditional operation group was 48.4 ± 12.2 min, and that of the robot-assisted group was 32.6 ± 4.2 minutes, which was significantly shorter (P < 0.05). The angles between the actual screw position and the central axis of the scaphoid on both the coronal and sagittal post-operative CT images were 8.3° ± 2.3° and 8.8° ± 1.6° for the traditional operation group and 3.8° ± 0.8° and 4.3° ± 1.2° for the robot-assisted group, so the accuracy of the robot-assisted group was significantly higher (P < 0.05). There were no significant differences between the two groups in wrist function recovery or fracture healing time. CONCLUSION: Robot-assisted treatment of scaphoid fracture is more accurate than traditional freehand technology, with shorter operation time and fewer intra-operative fluoroscopies. There is no difference between the two surgical techniques in intra-operative bleeding, post-operative fracture healing, or functional recovery. Robot-assisted surgery is a safe, effective, and accurate method for treating scaphoid fracture.

GINS complex subunit 2 (GINS2) regulates the migration, invasion, and growth of cells in many malignant and chronic diseases. In the present study, we aimed to investigate the expression of GINS2 in the peripheral blood and nucleus pulposus (NP) cells of patients with intervertebral disk degeneration (IDD). GINS2 expression was detected using bioinformatics tools from the GEO public repository and validated using peripheral blood samples from IDD patients and healthy participants. GINS2 clinical significance was explored by the receiver operating curve (ROC) utilizing area under the curve (AUC). Moreover, the influences of GINS2 on cell viability, migration, and invasion were explored by MTT, wound healing, and transwell assays, whereas cell apoptosis was determined by flow cytometry. Expression levels of GINS2 in the peripheral blood were significantly lower in IDD patients than in healthy participants. Moreover, ROC obtained a significantly higher AUC of GINS2 in IDD patients. Further, overexpressed GINS2 increased the proliferation, migration, and invasion of NP cells while overexpressed GINS2 decreased the apoptotic property of cells compared to the NC plasmid and control groups. In conclusion, GINS2 might be a potential therapeutic target of IDD.

Dugongs (Dugong dugon) experienced a serious population decline in China during the twentieth century, and their regional status is poorly understood. To determine their current distribution and status, we conducted a large-scale interview survey of marine resource users across four Chinese provinces and reviewed all available historical data covering the past distribution of dugongs in Chinese waters. Only 5% of 788 respondents reported past dugong sightings, with a mean last-sighting date of 23 years earlier, and only three respondents reported sightings from within the past 5 years. Historical records of dugongs peak around 1960 and then decrease rapidly from 1975 onwards; no records are documented after 2008, with no verified field observations after 2000. Based on these findings, we are forced to conclude that dugongs have experienced rapid population collapse during recent decades and are now functionally extinct in China. Our study provides evidence of a new regional loss of a charismatic marine megafaunal species, and the first reported functional extinction of a large vertebrate in Chinese marine waters. This rapid documented population collapse also serves as a sobering reminder that extinctions can occur before effective conservation actions are developed.

Ionic electroactive polymer-based actuators have attracted much attention due to their low potential stimuli. In this work, MXene-Nafion composite actuators were fabricated, and the actuation performances were tested. The morphology of the as-made MXene-Nafion composite showed that the composite membrane was homogeneous, with an MXene doping level up to 5 wt%. In addition, the results of blocked force, response speed, and durability demonstrated that the actuation behavior of the composite-based actuator was enhanced due to the efficient dispersion of the two-dimensional nanofiller MXene. In addition, the blocking force of the composite actuator with a doping level of 0.5 wt% was about 6 times that of the pure Nafion without back-relaxation and durability degradation during the testing period.

OBJECTIVE: Mesenchymal stem cells-derived extracellular vesicles (MSCs-EVs) can improve intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD). Considering that, their concrete mechanisms from microRNA-194-5p/tumor receptor-associated factor 6 (miR-194-5p/TRAF6) axis in IDD ask for disclosure in a scientific way. METHODS: Nucleus pulposus (NP) cells and MSCs were obtained. EVs were isolated from the obtained MSCs and identified. miR-194-5p expression in MSC-EVs was altered by sequence transfection. Subsequently, MSCs-EVs were co-cultured with NP cells intervened by tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α). NP cell proliferation and apoptosis, along with their osteogenic differentiation ability were evaluated. miR-194-5p and TRAF6 expression and their interaction were determined. RESULTS: In TNF-α-intervened NP cells, miR-194-5p was down-regulated and TRAF6 was up-regulated. Restoring miR-194-5p effectively enhanced proliferation and osteogenic differentiation, and reduced apoptosis of TNF-α-intervened NP cells. miR-194-5p-enriched MSCs-EVs protected TNF-α-intervened NP cells. miR-194-5p targeted TRAF6, TRAF6 overexpression exerted negatively for the growth of TNF-α-intervened NP cells, and could reduce the protective effects of miR-194-5p on TNF-α-intervened NP cells. CONCLUSION: It is elucidated that miR-194-5p derived from MSCs-EVs protects TNF-α-intervened NP cells through restricting TRAF6, replenishing a potential target for IDD treatment.

Feature extraction often needs to rely on sufficient information of the input data, however, the distribution of the data upon a high-dimensional space is too sparse to provide sufficient information for feature extraction. Furthermore, high dimensionality of the data also creates trouble for the searching of those features scattered in subspaces. As such, it is a tricky task for feature extraction from the data upon a high-dimensional space. To address this issue, this article proposes a novel autoencoder method using Mahalanobis distance metric of rescaling transformation. The key idea of the method is that by implementing Mahalanobis distance metric of rescaling transformation, the difference between the reconstructed distribution and the original distribution can be reduced, so as to improve the ability of feature extraction to the autoencoder. Results show that the proposed approach wins the state-of-the-art methods in terms of both the accuracy of feature extraction and the linear separabilities of the extracted features. We indicate that distance metric-based methods are more suitable for extracting those features with linear separabilities from high-dimensional data than feature selection-based methods. In a high-dimensional space, evaluating feature similarity is relatively easier than evaluating feature importance, so that distance metric methods by evaluating feature similarity gain advantages over feature selection methods by assessing feature importance for feature extraction, while evaluating feature importance is more computationally efficient than evaluating feature similarity.

In this article, the event-triggered multistep model predictive control for the discrete-time nonlinear system over communication networks under the influence of packet dropouts and cyber attacks is studied. First, the interval type-2 Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model is applied to express the discrete-time nonlinear system and an event-triggered mode, which is capable of determining whether the sampled signal ought to be delivered into the unreliable network, is designed to economize communication resources. Second, two Bernoulli processes are introduced to represent the randomly happening packet dropouts in the unreliable network and the randomly occurring deception attacks on the actuator side from the adversaries. Third, under the assumption that the system states are unmeasurable, a multistep parameter-dependent model predictive controller is synthesized via optimizing one series of feedback laws for a given period of time, which leads to improved control performance than that of the one-step approach. Moreover, the results on the recursive feasibility and closed-loop stability related to the networked system are achieved, which explicitly consider the external disturbance and input constraint. Finally, simulation experiments on the mass-spring-damping system are carried out to illustrate the rationality and effectiveness of the provided control strategy.

BACKGROUND: To investigate the preventive effect of elastic stockings on deep vein thrombosis (DVT) after orthopedic surgery by literature search and meta-analysis. METHODS: PubMed, Embase and Cochrane were selected as the search database platforms to search the literature of randomized controlled trials related to elastic stockings and DVT published from 2008 to date. Revman 5.3.5 software was used for statistical analysis of the data to obtain forest and funnel plots. RESULTS: In this study, 90 studies were initially screened and 7 were finally included, covering a total of 3,116 patients. Meta-analysis showed that the 7 studies had statistical heterogeneity (I2=32%, P=0.18), so a random effect model was used. The obtained statistic was [odds ratio (OR) =0.59, 95% confidence interval (CI): (0.34, 1.03)], the statistical effect size was Z=1.84, P=0.07, and the difference was not statistically significant, so a stepwise sensitivity analysis was performed by the exclusion method. One study was excluded, and the remaining 6 showed homogeneity (I2=0%, P=0.46). They were analyzed by subgroup according to the type of operation: ankle surgery or hip and knee arthroplasty. The internal literatures of each subgroup were homogeneous: ankle surgery subgroup (I2=0%, P=0.43), hip and knee arthroplasty subgroup (I2=0%, P=0.88). Therefore, fixed effect mode analysis was used, and the effect size of elastic stockings after ankle surgery was Z=3.65, P=0.0003, while the effect size of elastic stockings in the hip and knee arthroplasty subgroup was Z=1.23, P=0.22. DISCUSSION: Elastic stockings had an obvious preventive effect on DVT in patients undergoing ankle surgery, but not in patients undergoing lumbar, knee or spinal surgery. It is necessary to combine anticoagulant drugs and other physical therapies to prevent DVT.

Osteosarcoma (OS) is a lethal bone malignancy. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) have emerged as important regulators of OS development. CircRNA cyclin dependent kinase 14 (circ_CDK14) was reported to be a potential oncogene in OS. However, the mechanistic pathway by which circ_CDK14 functions in OS is largely unknown. The relative expression of circ_CDK14, microRNA (miR)-520a-3p, and GRB2 Associated Binding Protein 1 (GAB1) was evaluated by quantitative real-time PCR and western blot assays. Flow cytometry was employed to monitor cell cycle distribution and apoptosis. Methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) and colony formation assays were performed to assess cell viability and colony formation ability, respectively. Western blot assay was also used to detect the expression of apoptosis-related proteins. Transwell assay was carried out to monitor cell migration and invasion. Additionally, the target association between miR-520a-3p and circ_CDK14 or GAB1 was confirmed by a dual-luciferase reporter assay. Xenograft assay was applied to investigate the role of circ_CDK14 in vivo. Circ_CDK14 and GAB1 expression was upregulated, while miR-520a-3p was downregulated in OS tissues and cells. Circ_CDK14 depletion hindered OS cell proliferation, metastasis, and tumorigenesis while facilitated apoptosis, which were all ameliorated by miR-520a-3p inhibition. Circ_CDK14 could sponge miR-520a-3p. miR-520a-3p targeted GAB1 to repress OS cell proliferation and metastasis. Circ_CDK14 knockdown blocked OS tumor growth in vivo. Circ_CDK14 might positively affect OS development by modulating the miR-520a-3p/GAB1 axis.

BACKGROUND: MicroRNAs were reported to be involved in the progression of intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD). This study focused on the potential prognostic value and the underlying mechanism of miR-182 in IDD. METHODS: The expression level of miR-182 in plasma samples from 60 IDD patients and 60 healthy controls were examined in the present study. Then, the relationship between miR-182 expression and clinical features of IDD patients was analyzed. Moreover, the nucleus pulposus (NP) cells were cultured and transfected with either miR-182 inhibitor, mimics, or NC to explore the effects of miR-182 on cell proliferation and apoptosis. Furthermore, expression levels of proliferation and apoptosis-related proteins Bcl-2, Bax, and Caspase-3 were also evaluated. RESULTS: The expression level of miR-182 was dramatically increased in plasma samples of IDD patients compared with the controls. Moreover, ROC analysis indicated that miR-182 was a feasible diagnostic indicator for the diagnosis of IDD. According to the Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) score, the prognosis of patients with the lower expression levels of miR-182 was better than for those with the higher expression levels of miR-182 in IDD. Furthermore, the miR-182 inhibitor significantly increased the proliferation, decreased the apoptosis of human NP cells, and altered the expression of proliferation and apoptosis-related proteins Bcl-2, Bax, and Caspase-3. On the contrary, miR-182 mimics notably inhibited proliferation but promoted apoptosis of human NP cells and increased Bax and Caspase-3 expressions while reducing the Bcl-2 level. CONCLUSIONS: miR-182 was negatively correlated with the prognosis of the IDD patients and affected the proliferation and apoptosis of NP cells in vitro.

The etiology of lumbocrural pain is closely related to intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD). Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) serve crucial roles in IDD progression. This study investigated the effect of lncRNA H19 on autophagy and apoptosis of nucleus pulposus cells (NPCs) in IDD. The rat model of IDD was established. Normal NPCs and degenerative NPCs (DNPCs) were cultured in vitro. H19 expression in IDD rat was detected. DNPCs were treated with si-H19 to evaluate autophagy and apoptosis of DNPCs. The binding relationships between H19 and miR-139-3p, and miR-139-3p and CXCR4 were verified. DNPCs were co-transfected si-H19 and miR-139-3p inhibitor. The phosphorylation of NF-κB pathway-related p65 in DNPCs was detected. LncRNA H19 was upregulated in IDD rats. Downregulation of H19 inhibited autophagy and apoptosis of DNPCs. LncRNA H19 sponged miR-139-3p to inhibit CXCR4 expression. si-H19 and miR-139-3p inhibitor co-treatment induced autophagy and apoptosis, and enhanced CXCR4 expression. si-H19 decreased p-p65 phosphorylation, while si-H19 and miR-139-3p inhibitor co-treatment partially elevated p-p65 phosphorylation. In conclusion, lncRNA H19 facilitated the autophagy and apoptosis of DNPCs by the miR-139-3p/CXCR4/NF-κB axis, thereby aggravating IDD. This study may offer new insights for the management of IDD.

Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins (Sousa chinensis) inhabit shallow coastal waters of the Indo-Pacific region including southeast China, with at least 6 putative populations identified to date in Chinese waters. However, the connectivity among these populations has not yet been fully investigated. In the present study, we compared and cross-matched photographic catalogs of individual dolphins collected to date in the Pearl River Delta region, Leizhou Bay, Sanniang Bay, and waters southwest of Hainan Island, a total of 3158 individuals, and found no re-sighting of individual dolphins among the 4 study areas. Furthermore, there was a notable difference in the pigmentation pattern displayed by individuals from these 4 regions. We suggest that this may be a phenotypical expression of fine-scale regional differentiation among humpback dolphin groups, possibly distinct populations. Given the considerable conservation management implications it may carry (e.g. definition of management units), further research is much needed.

OBJECTIVE: To assess the long-term clinical efficacy of TiRobot-assisted percutaneous cannulated screw fixation in the treatment of femoral neck fractures. METHODS: This retrospective study included 50 patients with unilateral femoral neck fractures who were treated with TiRobot-assisted percutaneous cannulated screw fixation from September 2017 to May 2018. After at least 2 years of follow-up, the results of treatment, including operation duration, frequency of fluoroscopy use, intraoperative bleeding, hospital stay, medical expense, screw placement accuracy, rate of fracture healing and necrosis of the femoral head, and Harris hip scores at the last follow up, were recorded and compared with those of 83 matched patients who underwent conventional manual positioning surgery. RESULTS: The TiRobot group had longer operation duration (83.3 ± 31.2 min vs 44.1 ± 14.8 min) and higher medical expenses (28,407.1 ± 7498.0 yuan vs 22,672.3 ± 4130.3 yuan) than the conventional group. The TiRobot group had significantly less intraoperative bleeding (11.3 ± 7.3 mL vs 51.6 ± 40.4 mL) and shorter hospital stay (8.6 ± 2.8 days vs 11.1 ± 3.41 days) than the conventional group. Screw parallelism (1.32° ± 1.85° vs 2.54° ± 2.99° on anteroposterior radiograph; 1.42° ± 2.25° vs 3.09° ± 3.63° on lateral radiograph) and distance between screws (58.44 ± 10.52 mm vs 39.69 ± 12.17 mm) were significantly improved. No significant difference was found between the two groups in terms of the use of fluoroscopy (40.1 ± 28.5 times vs 38.6 ± 21.0 times) and Harris hip scores at the last follow-up (93.2 ± 10.3 points vs 88.4 ± 11.9 points). Two cannulated screws penetrated the femoral head during manual insertion in the conventional group but not in the TiRobot group. The rate of nonunion and necrosis of the femoral head in the TiRobot group was reduced compared with that in the conventional group (0 vs 7.2%; 6.0% vs 24.1%). CONCLUSION: TiRobot-assisted percutaneous cannulated screw fixation of femoral neck fractures is accurate and minimally invasive and helps in reducing late complications, particularly necrosis of the femoral head and nonunion of fractures.

Emerging evidence suggests that dysregulated circular RNAs (circRNAs) play a pivotal role in osteoarthritis (OA). Circ_0045714 is a functional circRNAs, and has been revealed to involve in the process of OA. However, the molecular mechanisms by which circ_0045714 regulates OA progression are not thoroughly elucidated. Circ_0045714 expression was decreased in OA and TNF-α-induced chondrocytes, ectopic overexpression of circ_0045714 abolished TNF-α-induced cell apoptosis, inflammation, extracellular matrix (ECM) degradation promotion and proliferation inhibition. In a mechanical study, circ_0045714 targeted miR-218-5p, and miR-218-5p overexpression reversed the effects of circ_0045714 on TNF-α-induced chondrocytes. Besides that, HRAS was a target of miR-218-5p, and HRAS knockdown attenuated the protective effects of miR-218-5p inhibition on TNF-α-induced chondrocyte dysfunction. Additionally, circ_0045714 could regulate HRAS expression via miR-218-5p in chondrocytes. Up-regulation of circ_0045714 suppressed TNF-α-induced chondrocyte growth inhibition, inflammation, and ECM degradation via miR-218-5p/HRAS axis, suggesting a novel insight into the pathogenesis of OA and the potential protective role of circ_0045714 in the occurrence and development of OA.
